Social added value from CO2-compensation projects
The special thing about the goclimateaction CO2-compensation projects is their additional focus on social aspects beyond the achieved avoidance of greenhouse gases. All of the climate protection projects we support aim to create added social value for the local population.
The Gold Standard has even made this additional social benefit a condition for climate protection projects to be allowed to carry the Gold Standard label.
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2015
The social added value achieved by our climate protection projects can be included in the target grid of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which were adopted by the United Nations in 2015. These provide a framework for the various categories of sustainable development.
By adopting the SDGs, the global community has committed itself to 17 global goals for a future worth living. The goals underline the shared responsibility of all actors: politics, business, science, civil society - and each and every one of us.
